About
I’m an experienced writer and editor—and voracious learner—with a focus on education and the environment.
I began my career 25 years ago working in academic publishing, moved into higher education, then went off the beaten track for a decade to homeschool my two kids while working part-time in nature education. Through each of these chapters, writing and editing remained consistent throughlines.
When I launched my business in 2021, I wanted to put my skills to work on compelling material in contexts that I care about. As a writer and editor, my sweet spots continue to be education, the environment, and any point where the two intersect.
As a writer, I'm committed to using clear language to connect readers to transformative ideas, stories, and learning. As an editor, my goal is to be an advocate and guide for your readers.
I love working with people as much as with words and am an experienced collaborator.
I’m an active member of Editors Canada and have served as communications chair and co-chair of Editors Toronto. I continue to hone my skills with professional development through Editors Canada and other organizations.
Along with a certificate in publishing from Toronto Metropolitan University, I hold an MA in English and an MEd in Adult Education and Community Development.
I’m both a nature nerd and an urban enthusiast. I love spending Saturdays walking and cycling through the ravines and laneways of Toronto, where I live with my husband and two teens. I’m more than a little obsessed with accessible public green spaces, public transportation, and bike lanes.
